After my day of working in the yard and burning a lot of calories I had my lunch for dinner, but was still hungry afterward. Prior to starting Diet to Go I knew I had food issues. I was always hungry, now it could be the prednisone I’m on after a car accident but still, I was always eating, out of boredom, whatever. I just enjoyed eating. And hording food. I bought a lot of groceries, and I threw out a lot of groceries. Everything looked good. But now that I’m eating Diet to Go I’ve found that I am quite full on the meals provided, for the most part.
For instance, tonight after eating the Chugwater Chili I went ahead and had a microwaved apple with cinnamon, a bit of vanilla sugar, some real vanilla extract, and about 8 raisins.
But, back to the Chili. It looked great in the package. Fresh shredded mozzarella, sour cream, and a biscuit.
I put the Chili into a microwave safe bowl (the clear dishes are not microwavable), then added the mozzarella cheese (in hindsight I should have put it on the biscuit and put chili on top of that), then the sour cream, and was ready to eat it. The biscuit was crumbly and tasted like corn bread (which makes sense when you look at the ingredients), the chili was full of vegetables and beans and was really flavorful, it had a great texture, the cheese was very substantial and made the chili really cheesy, more like a cheese burger style mix, the sour cream (which I had never used on chili prior to this) really added a nice dimension to it.
This is definitely a meal I look forward to eating again.
